Discipline and Trials

Discipline and trials aren’t meant to be endured passively, like a rock weathering a storm. Instead, they are tools for refinement, a transformative process that shapes us into stronger, better individuals. Just as gold must pass through the furnace to be purified of impurities, we too must face challenges that strip away what holds us back, making us more valuable and resilient. Like iron, folded and hammered under extreme heat and pressure, we are forged into something far stronger than before. But what is the result of a life without trial or discipline? It leaves us as hollow individuals, unaware of our own potential. So embrace the discipline and face the trials. Grow through them! Learn from them! Emerge from them as a better, more capable person.
That’s why I admire bison so much. Unlike cows who instinctively flee storms, only to remain at their edge and endure prolonged hardship, bison turn and face the storm. With heads down, they march directly into the chaos, seeking the calm and sunlight on the other side. In doing so, they find their peace and discover their strength.
